Summary

The Stalker is one of the special infected in R2D. All Stalkers appear taller. The Stalker cannot spawn naturally but can be purchased for 120$ and the kill reward is 25$.

A very disturbing creature that has special powers. It grabs survivors when they get close and takes them away from the main group to be killed. It turns invisible when idle and moves quickly. It also has the jumping animation of a Hunter. It also plays a foghorn when spawned to alert the survivors of its presence.

One can escape the Stalker's grasp by throwing their Rambo Knife at the Stalker. Zombies can still damage the survivor you are holding.

Survivor's Notes - Restored

This note was found hidden beneath a landmine in a warzone with a portion of it missing. It has since been partially rewritten through conjecture.

You wouldn't believe it at first sight, but that was until it came up from behind and snagged you before you even had the chance to cry for help. Horrible. Absolutely horrible.

T'was like any other day when my companions and I scavenged for supplies across a decimated warzone. We had felt a sense of impending doom coming not from the bandits that awaited their opportunity to lay waste to myself and my entire crew, but rather, from whatever hellspawn eagerly licked their lips in anticipation for their next meal.

As I knelt to tie my boots, I could hear distinct rustling from above; almost as if they were unholstering their service pistols. Once I looked up, all I could make out over the horizon was a trail of blood left behind by a rather tall figure carrying my mate who continued to scream once you got closer and closer.

Background Story

Footsteps echoing down the halls. You can hear it clear as day, but can it hear you? No, perhaps it can't.

For it has already seen you.

Walkthrough

The Stalker plays the role of the flanker as does other infected in this game. Its primary ability is not to dish out damage, but to assist those who are. With the ability to snatch up any player before they can register they've been touched, the Stalker excels at inducing panic among even the most seasoned of veterans.

It holds the unique ability to go invisible which, combined with its immense speed, enables it to perform ambush attacks of sorts against unsuspecting survivors. Use this to your advantage as a Stalker on tight maps with poor lighting such as Oil Rig. Though you may feel tempted to grab survivors and toss them overboard, this usually does not work as the survivor will simply teleport back to the map's spawn location. You are better off leaving a captured survivor to other hordes of infected for them to deal with.
